Elevated tanks

Water is a very critical resource to the pastoral communities. Northeastern region of Kenya like where FaIDA operates is very dry most times of the year and water becomes difficult to get both for household use and for animals. Where it is found, conflicts often arise over access and use.

FaIDA supports the local communities by drilling boreholes and rehabilitation of existing serviceable ones. We help rehabilitate animal watering points to improve animal drinking access as well as training the water users associations on management of water resources including the business models for revenue management.
